Lee County Burn Ban Lifted

The county-wide burn ban for Lee County has been lifted as of 11:15 am this morning, Friday, November 1. The current Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) for Lee County has dropped to an average of 507 in Lee County, with some areas as low as 354. The maximum value in the county is 575. Recent saturating rainfall across the county improved conditions sufficiently to lift the ban. Care should still be taken in burning outdoors as fuel still exists and will increase due to possible frost kills across the county.
