Charles Etta Lewis
Funeral services for Charles Etta Lewis, 77, of Deanville are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at the Bateman Memorial Center in Giddings. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery in Carmine.
Charles Etta was born Dec. 11, 1941 in Lee County, the daughter of Jerry and Geneva (Lewis) Guyton. She married J.C. Lewis, and was a housekeeper who enjoyed fishing and trail rides.
Charles Etta passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Lewis; grandsons, Larry Guyton and Orlando Guyton; brothers, Harold “Sonny” Guyton and Felton Guyton; and sisters, Emma Silar and Verna Mayberry.
Survivors include her sons, Charles (Linda) Guyton of Houston and Larry (Kisha) Guyton of Richmond; grandchildren, Cory Totaly and Jasmine Guyton of Houston, Debbie Rogers of Brenham, Lamont Roberts (Tolva) of Huntsville, Miles Guy-ton and Sheldon Guyton of Plano; granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Guyton of Flatonia; great grandchildren, Bryannia Fils, Jaidyn Guyton, Kenyon Guyton, Tulsa Roberts and Isaiah Roberts; sisters, Rue Mae Wilson of Burton and Madene Guyton of Giddings; brothers, James Guyton of Austin and David Guyton of Ledbetter.
