CLEAN-UP DAY held at all 4 precinct barns Saturday, Oct. 12. Lots of people in the county took advantage of it to bring in things like appliances, old furniture, mattresses, carpeting and household discards. Commissioners are Maurice Pitts, Richard Wagner, Alan Turner and Steven Knobloch.

Little Miss, Mister contest winners

Winners from the Little Miss and Little Mister contest at the Black Bridge Festival in Dime Box are as follows:

BLACK BRIDGE -- A large crowd turned out for this year’s Black Bridge Festival in Dime Box. There were plenty of entries in the parade with lots of horses. There were hamburgers
and chili for sale from the Cookouts. Live entertainment was featured both Friday and Saturday. The weather cooperated, and the arts and crafts were popular attractions.

KIDS

KIDS got a tour of the inside of a new ambulance unit during National Night Out last Tuesday. Co-owner of Lee County EMS, Gina Mersiovsky, demonstrated equipment for children that climbed into the new vehicle. Many of the county’s first responders attended. Fire trucks, police, and sheriff patrol cars were also on display during the annual event.

KIDS OF ALL AGES came together on the Lee County Courthouse lawn for the annual National Night Out event.
